1. Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Shanghai (Lunch)
Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel at 08:30. Visit the local residence which includes home vist, lunch with a local family, learning Chinese cooking and make dumpling by yourself. After lunch, visit Yu Garden, Shanghai Old Town, Franch Concession Xintiandi, The Bund, Silk Workshop, take Huangpu River Cruise. Be transferred back to hotel.

Yu Yuan Garden: As the most famous classical garden in Shanghai, Yuyuan is located to the northeast of the old town, not far from The Bund. It was built from 1559 to 1577 during the Ming Dynasty. Each pavilion, hall, stone and stream in the garden is expressing the quintessence of South China landscape design from Ming and Qing Dynasty.
Former French Concession: It is once designated for the French from 1849 to 1946, consisting of today's Luwan and Xuhui Districts. Interesting architecture built with French and Belgian venture investments and showing mixed Chinese-European styles. Today, the area is characterized by quiet, tree-lined avenues, French-style villas, interesting boutiques, lively bars and quaint cafes that are not typical of China.
Xintiandi: An affluent car-free shopping, eating and entertainment district of Shanghai. It is composed of an area of reconstituted traditional shikumen ("stone gate") houses on narrow alleys, some adjoining houses which now serve as book stores, cafes and restaurants, and shopping malls. Most of the cafes and restaurants feature both indoor and outdoor seatings. Xintiandi has an active nightlife on weekdays as well as weekends.
The Bund: As the architectural symbol of Shanghai, the Bund is on the west bank of Huangpu River and winds one kilometer. The name "the Bund" is derived from an Anglo-Indian term meaning literally ˇ°muddy embankmentˇ±. To the west of the Bund, there are 52 magnificent buildings standing in different styles: Rome, Baroque, Gothic, Renaissance, Classic and the combination of Eastern and Western style, most of them were erected before 1937.
Huangpu River Cruise: A Huangpu River Cruise is one of the best ways to see both old and new Shanghai. As you sail down the river towards the East Sea enjoy the views of the full sweep of The Bund and the 21st century cityscape of Pudong.
