Arrive at Beijing airport or railway
station. Our English-speaking tour guide
will meet and welcome you at the arrival
hall, and then you will be transferred
to your hotel for checking in. Remaining
day is free at your own leisure.

Square: Tiananmen was the front
gate of Forbidden City - the imperial
palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
Measuring 880 meters in length and 500
meters in width, Tian'anmen Square is
located in the center of Beijing; military
parade takes place here on China's National
City: Also known as the Imperial
Palace, it was the ruling center and
living residence of 24 emperors in Ming
(1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties.
The Forbidden City is situated right
in the center of Beijing, covers an
area of 740,000 square meters, and has

The Summer Palace was first built in
1750 as a summer resort for the emperors
in the Qing Dynasty. It was built in
order to celebrated Emperor Qianlong's
mother's 60th birthday, and survived
from several major damages a couple
of times in late Qing Dynasty. The most
attractive sight in Summer Palace is
the Kunming lake. You can take a boat
to cruise it in the summer and enjoy
skiing on the frozen lake in the winter.
Duck Dinner: Beijing Roasted Duck
is renowned as the most delicious food
of Beijing. The duck is hung in the
oven and roasted by flame burning from
fruit-wood. The finished duck is characteristic
with crispy skin, tender meat and the
fragrance from the fruit-wood.
Opera: China's national opera and
it is also China¡¯s traditional
art. It combines music, vocal performance,
mime, dance, and acrobatics. It arose
in the late 18th century and became
fully developed and recognized by the
mid-19th century. Traditional opera
is very popular among Chinese people,
especially seniors. Nowadays, appreciting
an authentic Beijing Opera Show in famous
Liyuan Theater is a must-do when you
are traveling in Beijing.

and the Ming Tombs.
Great Wall: Ancient military defence
work. Construction of the Great Wall
began during the Spring and Autumn Period
to the Warring States Period (770BC-221BC),
Badaling is the most famous and most-visited
section of the Great Wall in China.
Most travelers visit this section when
they travel Beijing. This is largely
because it is well maintained and provides
smooth walking, while Mutianyu, Jinshanling,
and the vertiginous Simatai require
a full day's outing. A grand view can
be enjoyed on top of the fortresses.
Look into the distance; there is a sea
of lofty mountains and ridges where
the Great Wall arises from the clouds
and rapidly runs out of sight into the
Tombs: The Ming Tombs lie in a broad
valley to the south of Tianshou Mountain
in Changping County, about 50 kilometers
northwest of Beijing proper. They are
known as the 13 Ming tombs, as 13 out
of the 16 Ming emperors were buried
there. Construction of the tombs started
in 1409 and ended with the fall of the
Ming Dynasty in 1644. In over 200 years,
tombs were built over an area of 40
square kilometers, which is surrounded
by walls totaling 40 kilometers. The

Covering an area of 2,700,000 square
meters, it is located in the southeastern
part of central Beijing. The temple
of Heaven was built in 1420 AD Ming
Dynasty and then expanded and reconstructed.

to worship heaven and pray for rich
harvest. Now, it has been a famous tourist

Palace: The chief residence and winter palace of the Dalai Lama since the 7th century. This immense religious and administrative complex is situated atop the Red Mountain, 130 meters above the Lhasa River valley. Potala Palace is 3,700 meters above sea level and covers an area of over 360,000 square meters; its 13 stories of buildings have more than 1,000 rooms, 10,000 shrines and about 200,000 statues.
Monastery: Founded in 1419, it is one of three famous monasteries in Tibet. As a complex of structures with the Great Assembly Hall and three colleges, Sera is the representative monastery of the Gelugpa of the Tibetan Buddhism, sometime in the history it housed about 6000 monks from all over Tibet.
Norbulingka: The traditional summer residence of the successive Dalai Lamas from the 1780s until the late 1950s. Norbulingka means "treasure park" in the Tibetan, it measures about 430,000 square yards, with 374 rooms inside. As a unique representation of Tibetan palace architecture, Norbulingka is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001.

Temple: The most sacred and important temple in Tibet. Built in 647 during the reign of King Songtsen Gampo, it has a history of more than 1,300 years. The temple was built for the king's bride Princess Wencheng of the Chinese Tang Dynasty, to house the Buddhist statues and images she has brought to Tibet.
Drepung Monastery: Established in 1416, it is one of the Three Great Monasteries in Tibet. Covering an area of 250,000 square meters, Drepung Monastery is known as the biggest monastery in the world with many cultural relics. At its peak, more than 10,000 people lived in the monastery.
Tibet Museum: Covering an area of 54,000 square meters, it is the first modern museum in Tibet with a rich collection of cultural relics including Buddha statues, Tibetan scriptures, jade seals, gold albums, tangkas and folk arts.
Street: Encircling Jokhang Temple, it is a famous commercial center in Lhasa. Barkhor Street has a history of more than 1300 years, visitors can find all kinds of fantastic commodities here: bronze Buddhist statues, prayer beads, carpets, thangkas, joss sticks, prayer wheels.

at Chengdu airport by yourselves. Our

Bund that is a great street for a stroll.
Bund: As the architectural symbol
of Shanghai, the Bund is on the west
bank of Huangpu River and winds one
kilometer. The name "the Bund" is derived
from an Anglo-Indian term meaning literally
¡°muddy embankment¡±. To the
west of the Bund, there are 52 magnificent
buildings standing in different styles:
Rome, Baroque, Gothic, Renaissance,
Classic and the combination of Eastern
and Western style, most of them were
erected before 1937.

Museum: Shanghai Museum is a treasure
house of Chinese cultural essence with
a rich collection of 120,000 valuable
antique items. Shanghai Museum is especially
famous for its treasures of bronzes
(bells, knives, axeheads, chariot ornaments),
ceramics, Chinese calligraphy and traditional
Yuan Garden: This small park is
located in the heart of Shanghai's old
Chinese quarter and links to Yuyuan
Market. Built in 1559, in the Suzhou
style by a high official in honor of
his father, the garden has maintained
its classic beauty over the centuries.
French Concession: It is once designated
for the French from 1849 to 1946, consisting
of today's Luwan and Xuhui Districts.
