Arrive at Beijing airport or railway
station. Our English-speaking tour guide
will meet and welcome you at the arrival
hall, and then you will be transferred
to your hotel for checking in. Remaining
day is free at your own leisure.

Square: Tiananmen was the front gate of Forbidden City - the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Measuring 880 meters in length and 500 meters in width, Tian'anmen Square is located in the center of Beijing; military parade takes place here on China's National Day.
City: Also known as the Imperial Palace, it was the ruling center and living residence of 24 emperors in Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. The Forbidden City is situated right in the center of Beijing, covers an area of 740,000 square meters, and has 9999.5 rooms.
Palace: The largest and most famous imperial garden in China which is located in the northwestern outskirts of Beijing. The Summer Palace was first built in 1750 as a summer resort for the emperors in the Qing Dynasty. It was built in order to celebrated Emperor Qianlong's mother's 60th birthday, and survived from several major damages a couple of times in late Qing Dynasty. The most attractive sight in Summer Palace is the Kunming lake. You can take a boat to cruise it in the summer and enjoy skiing on the frozen lake in the winter.
Duck Dinner: Beijing Roasted Duck is renowned as the most delicious food of Beijing. The duck is hung in the oven and roasted by flame burning from fruit-wood. The finished duck is characteristic with crispy skin, tender meat and the fragrance from the fruit-wood.
Opera: China's national opera and it is also China¡¯s traditional art. It combines music, vocal performance, mime, dance, and acrobatics. It arose in the late 18th century and became fully developed and recognized by the mid-19th century. Traditional opera is very popular among Chinese people, especially seniors. Nowadays, appreciting an authentic Beijing Opera Show in famous Liyuan Theater is a must-do when you are traveling in Beijing.

Wall and the Ming Tombs.
Great Wall: Ancient military defence work. Construction of the Great Wall began during the Spring and Autumn Period to the Warring States Period (770BC-221BC), Badaling is the most famous and most-visited section of the Great Wall in China. Most travelers visit this section when they travel Beijing. This is largely because it is well maintained and provides smooth walking, while Mutianyu, Jinshanling, and the vertiginous Simatai require a full day's outing. A grand view can be enjoyed on top of the fortresses. Look into the distance; there is a sea of lofty mountains and ridges where the Great Wall arises from the clouds and rapidly runs out of sight into the horizon.
Tombs: The Ming Tombs lie in a broad valley to the south of Tianshou Mountain in Changping County, about 50 kilometers northwest of Beijing proper. They are known as the 13 Ming tombs, as 13 out of the 16 Ming emperors were buried there. Construction of the tombs started in 1409 and ended with the fall of the Ming Dynasty in 1644. In over 200 years, tombs were built over an area of 40 square kilometers, which is surrounded by walls totaling 40 kilometers. The Ming Tombs are characterized by its large size, complete system, and intact preservation.

of Heaven: An example of China's ancient architectural art and the architectural structure for worshipping the heaven. Covering an area of 2,700,000 square meters, it is located in the southeastern part of central Beijing. The temple of Heaven was built in 1420 AD Ming Dynasty and then expanded and reconstructed. It was for emperors of the two dynasties to worship heaven and pray for rich harvest. Now, it has been a famous tourist attraction.

Sera Monastery, the Norbulingka

Palace: The chief residence and winter palace of the Dalai Lama since the 7th century. This immense religious and administrative complex is situated atop the Red Mountain, 130 meters above the Lhasa River valley. Potala Palace is 3,700 meters above sea level and covers an area of over 360,000 square meters; its 13 stories of buildings have more than 1,000 rooms, 10,000 shrines and about 200,000 statues.
Monastery: Founded in 1419, it is one of three famous monasteries in Tibet. As a complex of structures with the Great Assembly Hall and three colleges, Sera is the representative monastery of the Gelugpa of the Tibetan Buddhism, sometime in the history it housed about 6000 monks from all over Tibet.
Norbulingka: The traditional summer residence of the successive Dalai Lamas from the 1780s until the late 1950s. Norbulingka means "treasure park" in the Tibetan, it measures about 430,000 square yards, with 374 rooms inside. As a unique representation of Tibetan palace architecture, Norbulingka is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001.
Tour to the Jokhang Temple, the
Drepung Monastery, the Tibet Museum
and visit the Barkhor Street.
Temple: The most sacred and important temple in Tibet. Built in 647 during the reign of King Songtsen Gampo, it has a history of more than 1,300 years. The temple was built for the king's bride Princess Wencheng of the Chinese Tang Dynasty, to house the Buddhist statues and images she has brought to Tibet.
Drepung Monastery: Established in 1416, it is one of the Three Great Monasteries in Tibet. Covering an area of 250,000 square meters, Drepung Monastery is known as the biggest monastery in the world with many cultural relics. At its peak, more than 10,000 people lived in the monastery.
Tibet Museum: Covering an area of 54,000 square meters, it is the first modern museum in Tibet with a rich collection of cultural relics including Buddha statues, Tibetan scriptures, jade seals, gold albums, tangkas and folk arts.
Street: Encircling Jokhang Temple, it is a famous commercial center in Lhasa. Barkhor Street has a history of more than 1300 years, visitors can find all kinds of fantastic commodities here: bronze Buddhist statues, prayer beads, carpets, thangkas, joss sticks, prayer wheels.

Ancient City Wall: The first landmark
visitors will encounter in Xi'an is
the ancient city wall, which stretches
round the old city. The northern side
runs parallel to the railway. Xi'an
was originally a walled city, and even
today the wall is considered a landmark
dividing the city into the inner part
and the outer part. The city wall is
massive - tall, long and thick. The
South Gate and North Gate are the two
main entrances to the inner city. The
city itself is neatly arranged along
the city wall.
A traditional and popular food

it during festivals they really
hope it could bring fortune and
good luck to them, and this, of
course, is their best wishes.

Warriors Museum: Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum, with its 40 meters high tumulus, was built in the third century B.C. for Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty (221-206 B.C.). In 1974 a huge pit with numerous Qin pottery figures was discovered to the east of the mausoleum. The unearthed clay warriors and horses are huge and life-like and provide valuable data for the study of the military weaponry and sculpture of the time. The excavation of this incredibly rich find is a continuing process and visitors can actually see the archaeologists at work revealing more and more of these remarkable statues. Nothing comparable to it has ever been uncovered in China before.
Wild Goose Pagoda: This pagoda is
on the grounds of the DaCiEn Temple.
It was built in 652 A.D. Xuan Zhuang,
the famous master monk of the Tang Dynasty,
here translated Buddhist texts that
he had brought back from India. The
pagoda, as it stands today has seven
stones and is 64 meters high. Spiraling
staircases lead to the top where one
is rewarded with a good view of Xi'an
and the surrounding area.

Dynasty Dinner Show: Tang dynasty
Dinner Show is a performance of Chang'an
music and dances that was originated
in the Tang dynasty of Chinese history
over a thousand years ago. It is performed
by the Tang dynasty Song & Dance
Troupe, a branch of the Shaanxi Provincial
Song & Dance Troupe. The musicians
present the music with the Tang-dynasty-style
musical instruments and the dancers
wear a Tang dynasty-style robe with
long white silk sleeves. Accompanied
with dinner, you will enjoy a national
art that reflects the glory and richness
of the Tang Dynasty era.

Provincial History Museum: The museum,
with a floor space of over 4,000 square
meters, was opened in 1952. There are
more than two thousand ancient artifacts
on display. They are divided into three
sections: Forest of Steles (the oldest
and richest collection of such stone
tablets in China), Gallery of Stone
Sculpture, and Historical Relics.
Mosque: The Great Mosque is
the famous Islamic mosque in China-Xian.
It is one of the oldest, largest
and best-preserved Islamic mosques

our private car / van to the Zhujiang
Pier where the Li River cruise starts
(50 minutes' driving), board the cruise
