1. Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival in Beijing
Arrive at Beijing airport or railway station. Our English-speaking tour guide will meet and welcome you at the arrival hall, and then you will be transferred to your hotel for checking in. Remaining day is free at your own leisure.
Day 02 Beijing (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)
Visit Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City (the Imperial Palace) and the Summer Palace. Enjoy the Beijing Roasted Duck Dinner. Optional program in the evening: Peking Opera, Kungfu show or Chinese acrobatics.

Tiananmen Square: Tiananmen was the front gate of Forbidden City - the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Measuring 880 meters in length and 500 meters in width, Tian'anmen Square is located in the center of Beijing; military parade takes place here on China's National Day.
Forbidden City: Also known as the Imperial Palace, it was the ruling center and living residence of 24 emperors in Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. The Forbidden City is situated right in the center of Beijing, covers an area of 740,000 square meters, and has 9999.5 rooms.
Summer Palace: The largest imperial garden of Ming and Qing dynasty. The whole Summer Palace covers an area of over 290 hectares including more than 3,000 buildings, such as halls, pavilions, towers, etc.
Beijing Duck Dinner: Beijing Roasted Duck is renowned as the most delicious food of Beijing. The duck is hung in the oven and roasted by flame burning from fruit-wood. The finished duck is characteristic with crispy skin, tender meat and the fragrance from the fruit-wood.
Peking Opera: China's national opera and it is also China¡¯s traditional art. It combines music, vocal performance, mime, dance, and acrobatics. It arose in the late 18th century and became fully developed and recognized by the mid-19th century. Traditional opera is very popular among Chinese people, especially seniors. Nowadays, appreciting an authentic Beijing Opera Show in famous Liyuan Theater is a must-do when you are traveling in Beijing.
Day 03 Beijing (Breakfast + Lunch)
Take an excursion to the Great Wall and the Ming Tombs.

Great Wall Of China: Ancient military defence work. Construction of the Great Wall began during the Spring and Autumn Period to the Warring States Period (770BC-221BC), Badaling is the most famous and most-visited section of the Great Wall in China. Most travelers visit this section when they travel Beijing. This is largely because it is well maintained and provides smooth walking, while Mutianyu, Jinshanling, and the vertiginous Simatai require a full day's outing. A grand view can be enjoyed on top of the fortresses. Look into the distance; there is a sea of lofty mountains and ridges where the Great Wall arises from the clouds and rapidly runs out of sight into the horizon.
Ming Tombs: Located 60 Kilometers north of Beijing, Ming Tombs consist of mausoleums of 13 Ming emperors.
Day 04 Beijing - Xi'an (Breakfast + Lunch)
Tour to the Temple of Heaven. Transfer to the airport for flight to Xi'an. Visit Ancient City Wall. Optional program in the evening: Tang Dynasty Dinner Show.

Temple of Heaven: An example of China's ancient architectural art and the architectural structure for worshipping the heaven. Covering an area of 2,700,000 square meters, it is located in the southeastern part of central Beijing. The temple of Heaven was built in 1420 AD Ming Dynasty and then expanded and reconstructed. It was for emperors of the two dynasties to worship heaven and pray for rich harvest. Now, it has been a famous tourist attraction.
Ancient City Wall: The wall was erected in the 14th century Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it encircles and protects the ancient part of Xian City. A wide and deep moat ran around the 13-kilometer walls. Visitors could rent a bike and go all around the city wall; it is a fun and peaceful way to experience the city.
Day 05 Xi'an (Breakfast + Lunch)
Visit the Terra Cotta Warriors Museum, the Forest of Stone Steles Museum and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.

Terra Cotta Warriors Museum: Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum, with its 40 meters high tumulus, was built in the third century B.C. for Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty (221-206 B.C.). In 1974 a huge pit with numerous Qin pottery figures was discovered to the east of the mausoleum. The unearthed clay warriors and horses are huge and life-like and provide valuable data for the study of the military weaponry and sculpture of the time. The excavation of this incredibly rich find is a continuing process and visitors can actually see the archaeologists at work revealing more and more of these remarkable statues. Nothing comparable to it has ever been uncovered in China before.
Forest of Stone Steles Museum: The Stele Forest stores voluminous artworks which possess not only eximious value of handwriting and art, but also rich cultural connotation. The Stele Forest began to be built in 1087.
Big Wild Goose Pagoda: This pagoda is on the grounds of the DaCiEn Temple. It was built in 652 A.D. Xuan Zhuang, the famous master monk of the Tang Dynasty, here translated Buddhist texts that he had brought back from India. The pagoda, as it stands today has seven stones and is 64 meters high. Spiraling staircases lead to the top where one is rewarded with a good view of Xi'an and the surrounding area.
Tang Dynasty Show: A performance of Chang'an music and dances that was originated in the Tang dynasty of Chinese history over a thousand years ago.
Day 06 Xi'an - Chongqing (Breakfast + Lunch)
Visit the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum and the Great Mosque. Transfer to the airport for flight to Chongqing. Our guide will pick you up from the airport. Visit the Chongqing Zoo and Ciqikou old street. After dinner, board the Cruises for a memorable voyage down the mighty Yangtze River.

Shaanxi Provincial History Museum: The museum, with a floor space of over 4,000 square meters, was opened in 1952. There are more than two thousand ancient artifacts on display. They are divided into three sections: Forest of Steles (the oldest and richest collection of such stone tablets in China), Gallery of Stone Sculpture, and Historical Relics.
Great Mosque: Built in 742 A.D., the mosque was restored in each of the Yuan (1271 - 1368), Ming and Qing Dynasties. The distribution of pavilions, halls, towers and platforms in the mosque is compact and exquisite, blending the traditional architectural styles of Islam and Han.
Day 07 Yangtze River Cruise (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)
Get up early and enjoy a spectacular journey on the mighty Yangtze River. Depart Chongqing at 8:00am. After lunch, take shore excursion at Shibaozhai or Fengdu according to the schedule of your cruise company. Return to the boat and continue the cruise. Around 20:30, the Captain's Welcome Party will be held in the evening.

Shibaozhai: Built against sheer cliffs in 1750, it is a 12-storey red wood pavilion with a height of 56 meters.
Fengdu: It is known for its special culture of ghosts. The city has a large complex of shrines, temples and monasteries dedicated to the afterlife.
Day 08

Three Gorges - Sandouping (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)
Passing through the magnificent Qutang Gorge and beautiful Wu Gorge. Transfer to a small sampan to cruise the Shennong Stream or Lesser Three Gorges. The sampan allows you to experience a speedy adventure and have a close look at mossy rocks, verdant plants, plank roads, and ancient coffins. Sail into the longest and the most scenic Xiling Gorge. Finally, pass the Five Level Ship Lock in the evening.


Shennong Stream: A tributary of the Yangtze River. It originates in the southern part of Shennongjia Natural Reserve and flows into the Yangtze River via the Wu Gorge.

Day 09 Sandouping - Yichang - Shanghai (Breakfast + Lunch)
Shore excursion to visit the Three Gorges Dam - the largest hydroelectric project in the world. After that, you will disembark at Yichang at about 13:00. Our local guides will get on board to meet you. Transfer to the airport for flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. Have a stroll over the Bund.
Optional program in the evening: the Portman Acrobatic Show or Huangpu River cruise.


The Bund: As the architectural symbol of Shanghai, the Bund is on the west bank of Huangpu River and winds one kilometer. The name "the Bund" is derived from an Anglo-Indian term meaning literally ¡°muddy embankment¡±. To the west of the Bund, there are 52 magnificent buildings standing in different styles: Rome, Baroque, Gothic, Renaissance, Classic and the combination of Eastern and Western style, most of them were erected before 1937.
Huang Pu River: A tributary of the Yangtze and there is plenty of traffic on it to prove its importance. You'll see the magnificent building skylines on both the historic west side (the Bund), and the modern east side (Pudong) as well as the working area of coal boats filling barges and sending them downriver. It's fun to see such lively river life as well as Shanghai's amazing skyline.
Day 10 Shanghai - Departure (Breakfast + Lunch)
Visit the Shanghai Museum, the Yu Yuan Garden, Shanghai Old Street and former French Concession. Transfer to the airport for your departure, end of service.

Shanghai Museum: Shanghai Museum is a treasure house of Chinese cultural essence with a rich collection of 120,000 valuable antique items. Shanghai Museum is especially famous for its treasures of bronzes (bells, knives, axeheads, chariot ornaments), ceramics, Chinese calligraphy and traditional paintings.
Yu Yuan Garden: As the most famous classical garden in Shanghai, Yuyuan is located to the northeast of the old town, not far from The Bund. It was built from 1559 to 1577 during the Ming Dynasty. Each pavilion, hall, stone and stream in the garden is expressing the quintessence of South China landscape design from Ming and Qing Dynasty.
Former French Concession: It is once designated for the French from 1849 to 1946, consisting of today's Luwan and Xuhui Districts. Interesting architecture built with French and Belgian venture investments and showing mixed Chinese-European styles. Today, the area is characterized by quiet, tree-lined avenues, French-style villas, interesting boutiques, lively bars and quaint cafes that are not typical of China.
