1. Tour Itinerary

Day 01

Arrive In Kunming
Arrive in Kunming, our guide will meet you at the airport. After claiming your luggage, you will easily find our guide holding a welcome sign with your name on it. Visit the Western Hills by the Dianchi Lake and the Daguan Park.

Western Hills: Located 15km west of Kunming, Western Hills is a range of four mountains stretching over 40 kilometers along the western shore of the Dianchi Lake, looking like a Sleeping Beauty with long tresses trailing away to the south. Totally cut on a natural precipice, Dragon Gate is the highlight of Western Hills. Many inscriptions and steles are found here and there in Dragon Gate.
Daguan Park: First built in 1682 by a monk, is known for its longest antithetical couplet in China.

Day 02 Kunming - Stone Forest - Kunming / (Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast, drive 1.5 hours (90 KM) to visit the Stone Forest. Return to Kunming in the afternoon.

Stone Forest: The 26,000-hectare Stone Forest is located in Lu'nan Yi Nationality Autonomous County, about 120 kilometers southwest of Kunming. The area is believed to have been originally under the ocean. With eons of movement of the earth crust the area rose and broke through. The limestone left behind went through sun, rain, wind, and earthquakes and finally developed into the beautiful stone forest we see today.
Day 03

Kunming - Lijiang (Breakfast, Lunch)
Take morning flight to Lijiang.Tour to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Lijiang Murals and Ancient Shuhe Village of Naxi people. Explore Lijiang Ancient Town.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain: A holy mountain for the Naxi people that is located 15km north of Lijiang city with an altitude of 5600 meters (18,400 feet) above sea level. Visit villages of Naxi people.
Lijiang Murals: Made in succession from the early Ming dynasty to the reign of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing dynasty. These mural paintings, with their fine and smooth lines, bright colors, vivid pattern and balanced and harmonious composition are a wonderful sight.
Lijiang Ancient Town: It is situated on a plateau at an elevation of 2,600m and is impressive because of its scenery and lush vegetation. There is no other town in China like Lijiang which incorporates the folkways of so many people and the architectural styles of both north and south China.

Day 04 Lijiang - Kunming (Breakfast, Lunch)
Visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge and the First bend of the Yangtze River. Take flight back to Kunming.

Tiger Leaping Gorge: Extending for 15 kilometers from the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain of Lijiang to Haba Snow Mountain of Zhongdian, Tiger Leaping Gorge, with a drop of 3,000 meters, is believed to be one of the world's deepest canyons. The torrential Jinsha River, roaring and crashing over grotesque shaped rocks, produces a thrilling and stirring sight here.
First bend of the Yangtze River: The Jinsha River, the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, rises in the Qinghai Tibet Plateau and flows southward. When the river reaches Shigu Township of Lijiang County, it makes an abrupt turn and flows northward, forming a great V-shaped bend reputed as the First Great Bend of the Yangtze River.
Day 05 Kunming - Chongqing (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)
Transfer to the airport for flight to Chongqing. Our guide will pick you up from the airport. Visit the Chongqing Zoo and Ciqikou old street. After dinner, board the Cruises for a memorable voyage down the mighty Yangtze River.
Day 06 Yangtze River Cruise (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)
Get up early and enjoy a spectacular journey on the mighty Yangtze River. Depart Chongqing at 8:00am. After lunch, take shore excursion at Shibaozhai or Fengdu according to the schedule of your cruise company. Return to the boat and continue the cruise. Around 20:30, the Captain's Welcome Party will be held in the evening.

Shibaozhai: Built against sheer cliffs in 1750, it is a 12-storey red wood pavilion with a height of 56 meters.
Fengdu: It is known for its special culture of ghosts. The city has a large complex of shrines, temples and monasteries dedicated to the afterlife.
Day 07

Three Gorges - Sandouping (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)
Passing through the magnificent Qutang Gorge and beautiful Wu Gorge. Transfer to a small sampan to cruise the Shennong Stream or Lesser Three Gorges. The sampan allows you to experience a speedy adventure and have a close look at mossy rocks, verdant plants, plank roads, and ancient coffins. Sail into the longest and the most scenic Xiling Gorge. Finally, pass the Five Level Ship Lock in the evening.


Shennong Stream: A tributary of the Yangtze River. It originates in the southern part of Shennongjia Natural Reserve and flows into the Yangtze River via the Wu Gorge.

Day 08 Sandouping - Yichang - Guangzhou (Breakfast + Lunch)
Shore excursion to visit the Three Gorges Dam - the largest hydroelectric project in the world. After that, you will disembark at Yichang at about 13:00. Our local guides will get on board to meet you. Transfer to the airport for flight to Guangzhou. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.
Day 09 Guangzhou (Breakfast + Lunch)
Visit the Dr. Sun Yatsen's Memorial Hall, Chen Family's Temple and Temple of the Six Banyan Trees and Local market.

Dr. Sun Yatsen's Memorial Hall: Dr. The mausoleum is on the southern slope of the Mt. Zijin Shan in the eastern suburbs of Nanjing and covers an area of 321 acres (130 ha.). At the center of the hall is a white marble statue of Sun Yat-Sen in a sitting position. The grounds are covered with pines, cypresses, and fruit trees as well as trees sent in his honor from abroad. Sun Yat-Sen devoted forty years of his life to revolutionary activities. During the 1911 Revolution he led the Chinese people to establish the Republic of China.
Chen Family's Temple: Built in the 1890s. Its windows, door frames, and pavilions are lavishly decorated with intricate carvings and sculptures. It is now the largest and best preserved and decorated ancient architecture existing in Guangdong province.
Temple of the Six Banyan Trees: A famous ancient Buddhist temple that was built in 537 in the Liang dynasty during the Southern dynasties (386-581).
Day 10 Departure (Breakfast)
Transfer to the airport for your departure, end of service.
